Catharine McNamara is a CDE Clinical Nurse Consultant at the Mercy Hospital in Heidelberg and has been working in the field of diabetes in pregnancy for 20 years. She also works as a Unit Chair at Deakin University in the Graduate Certificate of Diabetes Education. Catharine is passionate about improving the health literacy of her clients and designing creative tools for promoting this. She won the Novo Nordisk International award for designing an online Educational tool and in 2017 was awarded the Vice Chancellors award for excellent in teaching at Deakin University.
