Dr Susan de Jersey is an Advanced Accredited Practicing Dietitian and a Metro North Health Clinician Research Fellow, within the Perinatal Research Centre at The University of Queensland Centre for Clinical Research. Dr de Jersey leads research to generate new knowledge, and implement and evaluate changes to routine care to ensure women are provided with person centred, evidence informed care that supports them to have a healthy pregnancy and optimise offspring outcomes.
Susan’s research focusses on clinically relevant perinatal health concerns and translation into clinical practice. She has a passion for developing emerging clinicians and researchers through supervision and mentoring and is a clinical leader to a team of dietitians working in antenatal care across Metro North Health. She provides care to women and their families within the antenatal clinic at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
