Welcome

Welcome to Canberra, Australia’s capital, and to the Joint Annual Scientific Meetings of ADIPS and SOMANZ.  The two societies meet jointly every 3 years so we hope you will enjoy the program format and content this year.  We have tried where possible to not have concurrent sessions so you can attend the majority of the sessions.

We welcome two outstanding keynote speakers to our joint conference this year - Robert Lindsay and Andrew Shennan who bring with them a wealth of knowledge to share with you.  We thank them for travelling to our meeting all the way from the UK and look forward to their presentations.

Our thanks to all our invited speakers for sharing their valuable time and contributing to a very diverse program.  We received over 120 abstracts to this meeting and not all could present as orals so please ensure you visit the posters too as there are many interesting research activities to immerse yourself in.

Our thanks to everyone who assisted with the organisation of this joint meeting including the team at ASN Events and our Executive Officer Suzie Neylon who have kept us all on track.  We extend our gratitude to everyone who assisted with reviewing abstracts, the judges of the oral and poster presentations, the chairs and to all our loyal followers who have attended this meeting.  We also extend our thanks to our sponsors and exhibitors for supporting this meeting.
